NRA Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) Course
This course is intended for individuals with prior firearms experience who demonstrate confidence and independence during range practice. It is not designed for beginners or those unfamiliar with safe handling and operation.
The instructor reserves the right to assess participant skill levels and may dismiss any individual who does not meet the required proficiency standards. Dismissals made on this basis are final, and no refunds will be issued.
Led by a certified NRA instructor, the class covers essential concealed carry skills, including:
- Firearm safety
- Defensive pistol techniques
- Drawing from concealment
- Defensive mindset and situational awareness
- Concealed carry methods
Students must successfully complete a live fire qualification to earn the official NRA certificate. Course completion is not guaranteed.
Required Equipment:
- A quality pistol appropriate for concealed carry (minimum caliber: 9mm or .38 Special recommended)
- An OWB strong-side hip holster (form-fitted leather or kydex preferred; must cover the trigger guard and remain open when the pistol is removed; Serpa-style holsters are not permitted)
- A sturdy belt designed to support a holster and firearm
- At least 150 rounds of quality practice ammunition
- Minimum of two magazines (four preferred)
- Eye protection
- Hearing protection (electronic preferred)
- Clothing suitable for concealed carry:
- Closed-toed shoes
- No low-cut shirts
- An untucked shirt and/or light jacket for concealment practice
For your safety and the success of the course, students without required gear or attire will be unable to participate and will be dismissed without refund.
